Last Saturday I did a Tough Mudder. It was a 10+ mile run with 22 differing obstacle courses....check out their website. It was intense!!! And I loved it!!! It totally ravaged my body, but in a good way. Besidess being physically awesome, it was mentally challenging. It was hard and trying to encourage yourself to do something was sometimes very hard...I am so lucky for the team I was on and for the strangers that were encouraging on the way as well. Though it is a dangerous and scary challenge, I loved it and will totally do it again.
This last week has been a push of recovery. I have not worked out hardcore cause my body was so tired and in desperate need of some free time. So i took a lot of speed walks or just simple yoga at home. But here is Sunday! Which means tomorrow is a new week to start back into hardcore workouts and start getting ready for another race!

I dont look as muddy and as gross as I really was...but i was freezing and muddy all over and soaking wet!
Way to go! I have always wanted to do one of those--I did a dirty dash once but it definitely wasn't that rough.

thanks. i should have done a smaller one first to prepare myself...but now i feel like all i can do is the tough ones :)

ReplyDeletethank you. i was intimidated at every obstacle...it was funny which ones were scariest to me, too. i was more scared of crawling through tunnels than running through live wires. haha
