So I'm Carly and if you haven't noticed, I started this little group of ours. I heard about it when Lauren Buchan, who is my sister-in-law, and her husband Cameron Buchan were doing a similar challenge. I thought it sounded awesome so I thought I would do one myself and make my husband, Josh join me. Carolyn, Cathryn, Krissy, and Carmen (all from the Buchan family) heard about it from Lauren and wanted to join the fun. I got my sister, Lindsay Pedersen, to join us because we did a similar challenge 5 or 6 years ago as a family and had a blast. My friends from grad school and a singles' ward, Dave and Julia Moss, from another singles' ward, Bethany Davis, and from undergrad, Becca Hoxer, heard about it from Facebook and hopped on the bandwagon. Patti, Ashley and Melissa heard about it from my friend Merrie Heilpern who I asked to plug it to the neighboring Mountain Island ward. Amber, Rebecca and Scarlett were in the previous challenge with Lauren and heard about it when I asked their leader/moderator to plug our group as well. Those folks wanted to be hardcore and do another round. More power to you! Scarlett's MIL, Bonnie heard about all of the hoopla and wanted to join our craziness as well. Whew! Did I get everyone? Now you know how everyone fits into this party.
As for me, I grew up in Utah with 5 siblings. Eating meals was every man for himself: you get it fast or you get none. I was never really into sports or anything physical but I did love to perform in musicals. I met my husband while working on my MBA at BYU at a conference in NYC for LDS MBA students. He was absolutely head-over-heels, drooling-on-his-shirt, smitten with me. He begged me on his hands and knees to go out with him when I moved to Arizona for my job a few months later, where he was going to school at Arizona State for his MBA. I said I'd think about it. When we were finally in the same state, I let him take me out. He smelled so great and had really cool glasses so I let him keep taking me out and the rest is history. After school he got a job with Bank of America and we moved here. We love being close to his family. We are moving to NYC at the end of April for a 6-month assignment so it will be interesting how I do with this challenge while moving (my husband is like a machine so I'm sure he'll be fine).
I love to cook, sing and play piano, watch movies with my husband, and eat. I have a weakness for all forms of sugar. I'm an all or nothing person: I either have no treats, or I have 7 helpings. Whatever, go big or go home, right? I have recently taken up bread making to curb my baking habit and I love it! I never EVER thought I would make bread so I am very proud of it. I've only been using 3 yeast bread recipes so if any of you have favorite bread or roll recipes I'd love to try them.
I'm in this challenge because I really need to work out regularly and drink all my water for the day; those two help stave off headaches. I also want to be better about getting all of my vegetables in each day and I love having the help and motivation with my personal goal. Also, I read that regular exercise can help you get pregnant so here's hoping for that, too!

Thanks so much for organizing this. I did hear your beautiful singing voice, it is incredible! Good luck with the challenge!
