Hello!
I don't think I know anybody on the challenge but a few are friends of my friends. I need this challenge to get motivated after the winter as I don't like to walk when it's cold but I don't like my treadmill either. I also need to prioritize my time so I always make time for exercise.
A little about me ... I'm originally from Washington state but I haven't lived there in a long time. My husband and I have been married for over 28 years and we have lived in the East / South for 25 years. My children are grown and on their own. My son comes home from his mission in Italy on May 3!! When he left I was about 12 pounds lighter and I'd like to be at that same weight when he comes home or by the time we drive him out to BYU and I see my old friends. I just about forgot to mention we are raising our beautiful 4 year old granddaughter .
I'm very good about eating healthy foods with lots of fusion grains, fruit, veggies, but I also LOVE carbs like garlic bread and brownies. I did a challenge like this last year and it helped me to control some of my bad habits and get more exercise.
I love to be outdoors, work in the yard, bike, swim, travel (we went to Tulum in January), cook but not bake (my husband is the baker in the family). I'm pretty busy with my Church calling in area public affairs and travel with that calling which is another reason to lose weight ... I have 4 skirts that are too snug to wear.
I look forward to support from each of you and giving support ... I have lots of wonderful recipes !! I'll include a photo of my husband and I taken in Hawaii 2 years (and 12 pounds) ago.
